Ok, I've been talking about this for a while and I think it's time at last. I'm launching my own blog page! What is it about? A very good question and I'm as curious to find out as you are. I find that as an herbalist and a natural soap and body care products maker and an aromatherapist and general holistic health type person I get a lot of questions from folks. A lot of questions.
So this will be my forum for answering some of them. The ones I know the answers to anyway. Also, I plan on posting lots of info and photos about my soap making and other skin care goodies that I make. Plus fun information about herbs. Growing herbs, using herbs, preserving herbs and making useful and medicinal preparations from herbs. I figure those topics should keep me busy for a while. And I hope people enjoy reading all this stuff. I know that I love to read the blogs that so many other folks post.
So stay tuned. This is just the beginning.
Perhaps I will start with talking about my adventures in making goat's milk soap. This Friday I will pick up a fresh jar and make another batch. And tell you all about it. Below is a photo of my first batch and it came out really lovely. Not at all as planned of course, but still pretty nice. I wish I'd gotten photos. This next time I will take tons and share them. I found surprisingly little information about making this kind of soap when I was researching it recently. I hope I can shed a little insight to anyone else who is brave enough to try mixing milk with chemicals!
